Hi, I’m Haley! a.k.a. Bird

I have 7+ years of experience in health and fitness, working with diverse individuals aged 18-65. My clients come from varied cultural backgrounds, have different abilities, socioeconomic statuses, and unique goals. And while these individuals vary greatly in their personalities and backgrounds, they often share one common thread - an idealized image of health and fitness. Unfortunately, this image is frequently unrealistic and stems from societal expectations for body size. Through my personal and professional experience, I have witnessed firsthand the pervasive influence of the diet industry.

That’s why in 2018 I shifted to an exclusively weight neutral approach to coaching. Weight neutral means focusing on health-promoting behaviors that are not centered around weight loss or gain, but instead prioritize behaviors that promote overall health and well-being, regardless of changes in body weight.

This approach recognizes that body weight is not a perfect indicator of health, and that weight loss is not always achievable or desirable for everyone. Instead, my clients and I prioritize health behaviors that can improve physical and mental well-being, regardless of changes in body weight.
